Friday, 11 April – Combined Operations with the Vega-C launcher are officially underway. This final campaign phase will run for 11 working days, with a tightly coordinated sequence of activities involving both the satellite and the launch vehicle.
On the first day of the Combined Operations, a key milestone was reached: Biomass was successfully mated to the flight adaptor. This was followed by the connection of the umbilical harness and a thorough final inspection.
With the physical connection complete, the satellite was powered ON and checked via the adaptor umbilical lines. Electrical tests were also carried out on the launcher’s own interfaces to ensure everything is working seamlessly.
To close the day, the fairing halves of Vega-C were transferred into the S5 facility—already setting the stage for the next big step: encapsulation.
Stay tuned for stunning visuals as Biomass gets tucked inside its launch fairing.
